Why is that? You are out in public and you see someone across the room that you think is attractive until they open there mouth. You cannot believe what an idiot they become. Within 30 seconds they go from an 8 to a 2 just by talking. Unfortunately it does not work the other way around. If you see a guy that is a 2 on the attractive scale he doesn’t turn into an 8 by talking no matter how humorous and intelligent he may be. Of course he gains a few points but there is something about the initial attraction that is either there or not. I guess it works the other way too. I have had guy friends say they met a 10 and asked her out. On the date she can’t seem to carry a conversation and has a preoccupation with topics such as the new nail polish color that is out for the Spring collection. I guess there is someone for everyone but my friends have complained of a girl loosing all her points too from the same problem. It is always a bummer when this happens.

July 16, 2008So…it has been a work in progress to get my live chats up and running on my website, but I finally ironed everything out. I gave in and finally bought my first PC to make it happen, which I am still not excited about, but I think in the end it all will be well worth it. I don’t own a tv
July 8, 2008I don’t believe I have ever personally bought and owned a tv, but in the last 2 years I haven’t had one around. When I rented a room from a girlfriend, I asked if she could take the tv out of the room. I put a desk in its place so I can work. There are tv’s in hotel rooms I stay in but I never turn them on. I have no desire to either. I work, read, or go out instead. I am visiting friends right now and in the past few days people have congregated around the tv in the evenings. I tried to sit down and watch it but I get antsy. I don’t enjoy watching most programs and I just think there is so much more I could be getting done at that moment than trying to force myself into relaxing in front of something that makes me nervous. I know it sounds a bit crazy but years ago I could actually watch a show and enjoy it. Now, something has changed that I don’t have the patience for it anymore. I dread the situation where everyone is sitting in front of the tv and you feel obligated to do the same. I usually run off and take up reading in the end. I can only handle trying to watch tv for so long. The worse consequence from this is that I lack the knowledge of pop culture in general. Standing around in a group and I have no clue about any tv shows, very few movies, actors, etc… The conversation is way above my head and the inside jokes from movies I stand blank faced to the group. I have no clue what they are taking about or why it is so funny. I am not sure if there is anything I can do about it since I don’t care to learn how to watch tv again.
The week of launching blogs
July 2, 2008It seems that both of my blog launches fell in the same week. It is funny how things happen like that when they were not planned to be that way in the first place. So, as you can see, I have transferred my Myspace blog to www.ariasblog.com I will be posting my blogs at this url from now on, so come back often to check it out. I also want to let you know for all those fans that have been interested in my travels and my stories behind the photos, well I launched a travel blog this week at www.booble.com/aria It seems that I will be knee deep in writing blogs for some time now, but I am not complaining. I am excited about both projects and hope you enjoy them too.
